Professional-grade retrofit

Effortless Professional Slab On Grade Anchor Installation

Professional-Grade Slab Concrete Anchor Without The Frustrations

Ripping out drywall and siding to “remove and replace” rusted tension tie straps out there makes life harder for everyone involved. Replacing j-bolts also brings shivers up the spine.

Until now, foundation crack repairs and the replacement of corroded anchors was a lose-lose proposition.

Official patent description

Official description of Patent Anchor Bolt

Standard Knife Anchor includes a rotating blade at one end and may also include a removable viewing box on the opposite end that are adapted to allow a J-Bolt to be replaced from the outside of a building without the need of cutting drywall or any exterior siding.

Furthermore, the removable box may be used to allow an engineer to view and certify the proper tightening of the anchor bolt securing the vertical walls and framework of the building to its foundation.

The new Standard Concrete Anchor Bolts are made in the USA, over-engineered because it is the right thing to do and ready to be permitted in any city municipality anywhere. They exceed building code requirements and ACI and ICRI guidelines.

The Concrete Anchor Bolts are made from ⅝" B7 rod, making them corrosion-resistant and built to last.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes these anchor bolts different from standard replacement hardware?

They are retrofit anchors designed for cured concrete, so failed J-bolts and related foundation connections can be addressed without removing the entire foundation section.

Can the system be installed without opening interior drywall?

That is the goal of the Standard Knife Anchor design. It is built to allow exterior-side access in many wood-structure repairs where cutting drywall or siding would add time and cost.

Which product should I look at first?

Start with standard knife anchor bolts for failed J-bolt replacement, plate anchors for sill plate and mudsill connections, and dead shoring bolts when temporary support is part of the repair.

Are technical documents available for permitting or engineer review?

Yes. The homepage includes downloadable technical drawings and a forensic evaluation package that can be reviewed with the engineer of record or local building official.

Who typically uses these retrofit anchor systems?

Foundation repair contractors, structural repair teams, remodelers, and property owners use them when an existing wood structure needs a stronger connection back to the concrete foundation.
